GTCC Fall League · 2025 season, read in full

How this league is actually won

Everything on this page is last season — the 2025 league read ball by ball. It is the evidence base for planning, not the live season: this year's table, results and schedule are on The season.
01

The win line is 120

First-innings totals do not produce a gentle gradient of win probability. They produce a cliff, and it sits between 119 and 120.

02

Bat first

If you win the toss, bat. The edge is real, it is consistent across the two grounds that host most of the cricket, and it grows in knockout matches. Put in to field instead? The match plan builds the bowling-first job.

Wickets in hand are worth 35 runs

Nearly a third of all innings in this league ended all out. Simply batting out your 15 overs — regardless of how fast you score — is the single largest lever on the scoreboard.

Your team

Pick your side to see its record, its scoring rates, and the specific gap between where it finished and the win line.

05

Qualification is a group of six

The 30 teams played five round-robin matches inside five groups of six. The top three in each group went through — fifteen teams, exactly half the field. Three wins from five put you on the bubble, and the bubble was broken by head-to-head and net run rate.

06

The field, ranked

Sorted by how far each side went, then by group record. Runs per over for and against are computed across all matches, with an all-out innings charged the full quota — the same convention net run rate uses.

The playbook

Section 08 is who we are playing. This is how we play, whoever it is: what winning sides in this league actually do in each phase, with bat and with ball, and the number to call from the boundary at every break.
